Introduction

  Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh Choo-Kheng, is a Hollywood Malaysian born actress, best known for performing her own stunts in    Hong Kong action films that brought her to fame in the early 1990s.

Michelle was born to a lawyer's family in Ipoh, Malaysia on August 6, 1962. She is likely to spent weekend swimming and diving with her friends at Ipoh Swimming Club, located next to her house. Born in the mining town of Ipoh, Malaysia, Yeoh earned an international standing as a teenage athlete when she was young as she loved many types of sports. She also had represented Malaysia for swimming, diving especially and squash as well in national level. Young Michelle herself is the Perak representative for squash sport also have the tiltle of  Malaysian Junior Squash Champion. Instead of, Michelle also getting into piano and Chinese art painting.

   On the other hand, her strong feeling was toward dance, in ballet to be specific. As to fulfill her interest, she even started her ballet training when she was four years. Michelle was sent to a Convent school to receive early education in English. Due to her real passion, Michelle go together with her parents to England and registered at a boarding school there when her age is 15 years old on 1977.  Shortly, Michelle entered the London Royal Academy of Dance, majoring in Ballet.

Unfortunately, her dreams of being a ballerina dancer was unexpectedly ruined because of a spinal injury which she suffered during a ballet practicing session there. Then, she consulted with a doctor and got bad news as the doctor said there are a rotated disk in her spine. Her condition would not be able for her to stand anymore for the daily intensive ballet workout. As a result, she changed her focus away from dance to other kind of arts. It is kinda sad as Michelle never get a chance to perform ballet professionally on stage. In addition, she even want to run her own school to teach ballet at that time.
